PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic brake device for a vehicle capable of adjusting the hysteresis width in a brake pedal tread force - a brake liquid pressure characteristic. SOLUTION: This hydraulic brake device for the vehicle comprises a power chamber pressure sensor 29 for detecting a liquid pressure Pp in a power chamber 21, a reaction force chamber pressure sensor 30 for detecting a liquid pressure P in a reaction force chamber 18, a tread force sensor 29 for detecting a tread force of a brake pedal operation, and a reaction force chamber pressure adjusting means (always closing linear solenoid valves 12 and 13) capable of adjusting the reaction force chamber pressure P using a high pressure generated by a liquid pressure generating means 11. The reaction force chamber pressure adjusting means controls the reaction force chamber pressure P equal to the power chamber pressure Pp when determining that a brake liquid pressure Pm is increased or held based on the output result of the tread force sensor 29. The adjusting means controls the reaction force chamber pressure P to be a predetermined pressure higher than the power chamber pressure Pp when determining that the brake liquid pressure Pm is reduced based on the output result of the tread force sensor 29 in an initial stage. |
