A system and method for providing two modes of operation for a program guide and a video display depending on the position of a highlight or cursor. When the cursor or highlight is moved to a channel name/number grid, the video display will display program content of the program currently being received by the highlight channel. On the other hand, when the cursor or highlight is moved to a program grid, the content of the video window does not change. |
