PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film which can be stably used for high-quality optical applications such as for LCD. SOLUTION: This optical film has a flaw of the largest size per 5 m2 of at least one of the sides of the film, as an independent single flaw or one continuously integrated formation of a plurality of flaws, measuring 600μm2 or less, with a depth of 0.1μm or less, and also has a haze of under 0.7. The method for manufacturing an optical cellulose ester film comprises the step of manufacturing the film by a solution filming process, with the residual volatile matter of 50% (mass reference weight %) of the film when it is released from a support and the draw ratio of 8% or less when the film is released from the support. |
