PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for removal of floating matter on water surface capable of effectively removing the floating matter on the water surface even when there is heaving of the water surface due to wave motion. SOLUTION: This device comprises a main cylinder 1 having a large diameter for storing the floating matter on the water surface, a buoy 2 to give buoyancy so as to keep the upper part of the main cylinder 1 above the water surface, a communicating tube 3 connected to the inside of the main cylinder 1, and an inflow pipe 4 inserted slidably into the communicating tube 3 and having small buoys 5 to keep the upper open end thereof close to or below the water surface, wherein the floating matter on the water surface flowing into the inflow pipe 4 from the upper end thereof is led in to the main cylinder 1 through the communicating tube 3.
