A coin type vibration motor and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to prevent noise by securing stability of mechanical friction and stability of electric contact through continuous contact between a brush and a commutator piece, thereby improving durability of the commutator pieces and extending a lifetime of the coin type vibration motor. A coin type vibration motor includes a case, a stator, a rotor(40), and a brush. The stator is fixed on the case. The rotor is installed on the case to rotate with respect to the stator and includes a plurality of commutator pieces annularly arranged on a printed circuit board to be spaced apart from each other. The brush is slidably in contact with the commutator pieces to supply current to the commutator pieces. The coin type vibration motor further includes non-conductor layers. The non-conductor layers are filled at the same height as a surface in contact with the brush of surfaces of the commutator piece to remove a clearance between the commutator pieces.
