<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a malfunction by accurately detecting a location of an electronic key in opening a door. SOLUTION: This keyless entry device 1 for a vehicle transmits an electromagnetic induction signal for starting the electronic key 2 to a vehicle side device 3, receives an identifying signal transmitted from the electronic key in response to the electromagnetic induction signal, and locks or unlocks the door. When a door sensor 54a detects the opening of the door, a transmitting cycle of the intermittently transmitted electromagnetic induction signal is shortened. Therefore, during a door opening time when the location of the electronic key changes from the inside to the outside of the car, or vice versa in response of getting on or off, the transmitting cycle of the electromagnetic induction signal is shortened to provide more frequent communication than a usual, and the location of the electronic key is accurately detected, thereby performing a control without a malfunction.</p> |
