PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag device for front passenger seat on which an air bag secures an extensive area and freely expands to the side of an occupant between an inner panel upper surface and a windshield. SOLUTION: The air bag 10 of the air bag device for the front passenger seat is furnished with an opening side wall part 24 having a gas inflow port 12 and an occupant side wall part 25 to face against an occupant at the time of expansion. The air bag is first laterally folded by flatly overlapping the occupant side wall part 25 on the opening side wall part 24 in the front side of which the gas inflow port 12 is arranged and winding a rear end 27 on an opening side wall part side D. Thereafter, and right left edges 30, 31 are longitudinally folded so as to make them approach the side of the gas inflow port 12. Thereafter, a rear part side portion 33 after a longitudinal folding process is laterally folded so as to wind to the opening side wall part side D and placed on an occupant side wall part side U, and a front side portion 37 of the gas inflow port is laterally folded so as to make it approach the gas inflow port on the occupant side wall part side U and stored in a case. |
