PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further increase the length of an expansible part of a webbing by making a bag of an air belt not pass a belt guide. SOLUTION: The air belt 1 comprise the webbing 2 of which the one part including a part with which an occupant contacts is made as a bag part 2a and the other part as a non-bag part 2b, a cover 3 stored in the bag part 2a of the webbing 2 in a state of being folded in the direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction and in the longitudinal direction, and a cover 4 made of a first cover 4a to cover a part corresponding to the cover 3 of the webbing 1 and a second cover 4b to cover the bag part having no cover 3 of the webbing 2. At least the bag part 2a expands and develops along the longitudinal direction as the cover 3 expands at least to the longitudinal direction when gas is introduced to the cover 3. The cover 3 never expands to the side of a retractor 7 over the belt guide 8 even when the cover 3 expands to the longitudinal direction.
