CATALYST COMPONENT RECOVERING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst component recovering method capable of easily peeling only a catalyst from a waste catalyst body containing an inorganic fiber base material and the catalyst without destructing the inorganic fiber base material to recover the same at a low cost. SOLUTION: The catalyst component recovering method is characterized by that the waste catalyst body containing the inorganic fiber base material is arranged in water and pressurized water streams are allowed to collide with the waste catalyst body to peel the catalyst component from the waste catalyst body to recover the same. The catalyst component recovering method is characterized by covering at least the pressurized water stream colliding surface of the waste catalyst body with a mesh-like article.
