PURPOSE: To manufacture a coke with high coke strength after reaction(CSAR) for metallurgical purpose, a specific amount of pitch coke is blended with coal. CONSTITUTION: The method is characterized in that pitch coke is blended with a coal comprising fixed carbon 85 wt.%, volatile fraction less than 13 wt.% and ash less than 2 wt.% in an amount of less than 5 wt.%.
