PURPOSE: A method of list management for neighbor base station of mobile communication system is provided to fetch and add PLD(Programmable Loading Data) information stored within a base station management system when there is no base station information in the neighbor base station list. CONSTITUTION: A mobile station discriminates a hand off base station by the intensity of an adjacent base station and a pilot signal. When requesting a hand off operation to the base station increasing the intensity of the signal above a constant level, the base station transmits a pilot offset as an indicator to a control station(S401). The control station confirms whether the pilot offset of the new base station exists to the neighbor base station list of the stored PLD(S402). After the confirmation of the result, if the pilot offset exists, a message for performing the hand off is transmitted to the new base station(S406). If the pilot offset does not exist, the control station transmits a pilot offset as a request message in order to confirm whether old BST(Base Station Transceiver) exists(S403). Thereafter, a base station management system checks whether the pilot offset corresponding to adjacent base station information exists(S404). After the result of the check, if the corresponding old BST information in the neighbor base station list of PLD exists, the information is transmitted to the corresponding control station(S405). Thereafter, the control station deletes the neighbor base station list of old BST, adds the received list(S405) and then transmits the signal for performing hand off to the base station and so the hand off with a normal flow is performed(S406).
