PURPOSE: An electric resistance ignition apparatus using the oxidizing environment is provided to perform the sufficient preheating and uniform ignition at the broad surface, thereby obtaining the stability of the combustion. CONSTITUTION: An oxidizing environment is formed at the circumference of the fuel surface using oxide or oxidizing gas. After forming the oxidizing environment, ignition flame is induced using the resistance heat of an electrical resistance wire in an ignition apparatus(3) positioned within the oxidizing environment. The electric resistance ignition apparatus using the oxidizing environment is heated and ignited with the electric resistance. Thus, the surface preheating and uniform ignition at the broad surface is obtained.
