METHOD FOR TREATING CONTAMINATED SOIL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for performing an incineration treatment on a contaminated soil without generating dioxins even dispensing with a special additive and a special incineration control. SOLUTION: By sucking air into an incineration chamber 32 placed under a negative pressure, the contaminated soil 34 contaminated with oil or an organochlorine hazardous contaminated substance is incinerated by simultaneously proceeding an oxidative incineration and fumigation. Thus, the contaminated soil 34A which is brought into contact with the air sucked can be stably incinerated at a high temperature of 800 deg.C or higher at which dioxins are thermally decomposed and a remaining soil portion 34B can be fumigated (baked) at 300 to 500 deg.C at which dioxins may be thermally decomposed. Since the entire contaminated soil is incinerated in such a way that an oxidative incineration portion is gradually moved to a fumigation portion, dioxins are hardly generated.
