PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel leg fixing device surely affording the forwardly shifting action of a mobile hood in fixing the mobile hood with a tightening lever and capable of smoothly making the raising/falling operations of the tightening lever. SOLUTION: This reel leg fixing device has such a construction that a support unit 12 turnably holding the cam 17 of a tightening lever 15 is set on a mobile hood 7 and a retaining spring 20 is provided with a means for receiving the sliding motion of the cam 17 when the tightening lever 15 is put to falling turning to a specified position. This device works as follows: after the cam 17 is received by the above means in putting the tightening lever 15 to falling turning, the cam 17 presses against the wall face of the support unit 12 with the received position as the support to shift the mobile hood 7 toward a stationary hood side.
