PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portal type car washer capable of cleaning dirt or refuse in a car in a car washing area. SOLUTION: In this portal type car washer, a cleaning mechanism is mounted in a car washing machine body 12 formed in a portal shape for striding over an automobile reciprocating on rails 11 installed on a site, and a control device 18 for driving the cleaning mechanism by an operation of a key board 17 to sequentially perform a plurality of car washing processes is provided. The car washing machine body 12 is provided with an air sucking/exhausting device 19 controlled by the control device 18, and a pipe installed through the sucking/ exhausting device 19 is supported on the upper part of the car washing machine body 12 by a hose supporting arm 26 that horizontally turns, and the end of the hose connected to the pipe suspended from the end of the hose supporting arm 26 is provided with a cleaning device 20 having a cleaning tool 40. |
