PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening trim or an opening weather strip excellent in an outer appearance, abrasion resistance and in reducing weight. SOLUTION: This opening trim or opening weather strip 10 is furnished with a trim frame body part 11 the cross-section of which is roughly U shaped, a plurality of holding lip parts 12 projected toward a center from a leg part inside surface against which the trim frame body part 11 faces and an insert metal IM integrally molded with the trim frame body part 11 as a core material, and as at least a part of an outer layer part is made of a styrenic thermoplastic elastomer composition of a hardness of 55-90 and each of the trim frame body part 11 and the holding lip parts 12 is made of an olefinic thermoplastic elastomer composition of a hardness of 55-75, the holding lip parts 12 maintain a favourable inserting force into a body flange BF and the trim frame body part 11 also ensures favourable abrasion resistance against contact of clothes and a baggage accompanied with the opening of a door and a favourable installation follow-up property relative to a corner part in the circumference of a door opening part.
