PURPOSE: A sealing apparatus of a sub-lance hole is provided to cut off the sub-lance hole so that fume is not exhausted when the sub-lance hole is opened. CONSTITUTION: In a refining facility equipped with a vessel(82) containing a ladle(80), and a cover(84) on which a sub-lance hole(90) is formed, the sealing apparatus of the sub-lance hole comprises a sub-lance hole opening or closing means consisted of a flap(10) which is installed at one side of the sub-lance hole to open or close the sub-lance hole(90), a link member which is fixed to the upper surface of the flap(10) to rotate the flap, and a cylinder which is connected to the link member to drive the link member; and a fume blocking means consisted of a pipe ring(52) which is installed on the inner circumferential surface of the sub-lance hole, and a nozzle for ejecting inert gas toward the center of the sub-lance hole on the circumferential surface of the pipe ring, wherein first, second and third chambers are sequentially formed by two pistons of the cylinder, the pistons are reciprocated through ports installed in the first and third chambers, and an inert gas is supplied into the pipe ring(52) through a port formed in the second chamber.
