Subject of the invention is a circuit for surge protection of telecommunication system made from an inductively coupled serial block and primary disconnection performed by retreating from a gas arrestor with its circuit allowing symmetrical protection of telecommunication systems against overvoltages by two inductively coupled coils (La, Lb) and a special disconnecting mechanism, which in the case of overloading the gas arrestors simultaneously disconnects the line input (a, b) of the telecommunication system from the line.
