PURPOSE: An excavator having a large-diameter is provided to effectively remove hard ground such as rock stones, pebbles or other obstacles by comprising an elliptical and spherical excavating body having plural cutting bits. CONSTITUTION: The excavator comprises a casing(1) having a spherical upper excavating body(2) and a lower excavating body(3) installed perpendicular to each other at their rotational axes. The casing comprises two upper excavating bodies(2) onto an upper support(4) together with an upper slime inhalation barrel(5) while two lower excavating bodies(3) and a lower slime inhalation barrel(7) are located on a lower support(6). The casing also has both of slime inhalation pipes(8,8') connected to the barrels(5,7) and a slime transportation device(9), and a slime discharging pipe(10) jointed to the transportation device(9) and through a clamp(11) at upper side of the casing(1).
