PURPOSE: A method for controlling a flywheel and an idle of an engine in a vehicle is provided to control fuel amount with 90degree interval by generating plural TDC signals and to improve safety of the idle of the engine. CONSTITUTION: A device for controlling an idle of an engine in a vehicle comprises a vehicle operational state detector(100) detecting operational state of a vehicle changed according to traveling state of the vehicle; an engine controller(200) outputting a specific control signal into the vehicle operational state detector; a driving unit(300) supplying a fuel according to the control signal output from the engine controller; an inhibitor switch state detecting unit(110) detecting a condition of the inhibitor switch changed by controlling a shift lever; a TDC detecting unit(120) detecting a TDC position of a flywheel; a vehicle speed sensing unit(130) detecting vehicle speed; and an engine revolution per minute detecting unit(140) variable engine revolution per minute. Thereby, the device for controlling the idle of the engine improves safety of the idle of the engine.
