PURPOSE: A control method for vehicle engine is provided to vary the output condition of a fuel shutoff request signal according to the change of the running condition in running vehicle so that preventing the drop or sudden rise of the engine RPM and engine stall by compensating the Rewent fuel amount to increase when the engine RPM or vehicle speed is suddenly changed. CONSTITUTION: A control method for vehicle engine includes the steps of: judging the state of an engine idle switch in a running vehicle(S110); compensating the final rewet engine RPM and fuel amount according to the first running condition(S130,S140); compensating the final Rewent engine RPM and fuel amount according to the second running condition(S160,S170); and compensating the basic air amount according to the third running condition(S190). Therefore, the drop or sudden rise of the engine RPM and the engine stall are prevented.
