PURPOSE: A clutch of an automatic transmission is provided to improve the torque transmission amount of the clutch by enlarging the friction area with inclining the contact area between a disk and a plate. CONSTITUTION: A clutch system of an automatic transmission has a disk(14) and a plate(16), and transmits power by connecting an input shaft(10) of the automatic transmission to the corresponding factor of a planetary gear set in changing speed. Inclined parts(14a,16a) are formed in the contact area between the disk and the plate, and bent to enlarge the contact area. An extension part extended outward from the inclined part of the disk and an extension part extended inward from the inclined part of the plate are placed vertically to the input shaft to combine a retainer(12) and a hub(18). Frictional area is enlarged with forming the inclined part between the disk and the plate, and the torque transmission amount is increased without enlarging the occupied area of the clutch.
