PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing chip-type common mode choke coil is provided to make a surface mounting of a common mode choke coil easy by inserting a square shape body into respectively both sides of a cylindrical extrusion molding body in which a first and a second coil pattern are formed. CONSTITUTION: A first process forms a cylindrical extrusion molding body. A second process forms a first metal layer on the surface of the cylindrical extrusion molding body. A third process forms a first coil pattern on the first metal layer. A fourth process coats one part of the cylindrical extrusion molding body with a PVB(poly vinyl butyrate). A fifth process coats the other part of the cylindrical extrusion molding body with a ferrite. A sixth process forms a second metal layer on the surface of the cylindrical extrusion molding body. A seventh process forms a second coil pattern on the second metal layer. An eighth process cuts the cylindrical extrusion molding body. A ninth process removes the PVB coated part. A tenth process forms an insulation layer on the second coil pattern. An eleventh process inserts a square shape body(110) into respectively both sides of the cylindrical extrusion molding body.
