PURPOSE: An apparatus for dissolving a plating layer of a plated strip is provided to dissolve the plating layer of a plated strip sample promptly, accurately and automatically, and dry the dissolved plating layer automatically. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for dissolving a plating layer of a plated strip for providing with a sample for analyzing or testing the plating layer, the apparatus comprises a body(12) equipped with a base(10); a housing(20) which is installed in the body(12) and equipped with a chemical liquid dipping tank(14), a water cleaning tank(16) and a drying tank(18); an index magazine(24) which is arranged at one side of the housing(20), and in which samples to be dissolved are kept; a discharging device(26) which is arranged at the other side of the housing(20) and discharges the samples dissolved in the housing(20) into the outside of the body(12); and a transfer device(28) which automatically transfers the samples to the discharging device(26) by passing the samples arranged in the index magazine(24) through each of the tanks of the housing(20) and vertically reciprocates the samples, wherein the transfer device(28) further comprises linear guides(30), a moving cylinder(32), a sample transfer unit(34), a ball screw(36), and an actuator(42).
