PURPOSE: A lubricating apparatus of an automatic transmission is provided to lubricate a one-way clutch efficiently, and to improve endurance by lubricating actively in freewheeling and by restricting lubricating in not freewheeling. CONSTITUTION: An auxiliary lubricating passage(18) is branched off from a pipe between a shift control valve and a direct clutch in changing speed, and extended to a one-way clutch(10) with passing through a transmission case(12) and a direct clutch retainer(14). The one-way clutch is composed of first, second, third and fourth lubricating passages(16a,16b,16c,16d), and the diameter of the fourth lubricating passage is reduced. The direct clutch is operated at 4 or 5-speed, and line pressure is supplied to the direct clutch by the shift control valve. Lubricant is supplied through the auxiliary lubricating passage to the one-way clutch freewheeling at 4 or 5-speed. Endurance is improved with supplying lubricant according to the speed range. |
