PURPOSE: A method for controlling fuel flux at a burner of an electric arc furnace is provided to improve productivity, contribute to operation stabilization and guarantee complete combustion possibility of a mixed gas by automatically controlling flux of LPG and oxygen of the burner. CONSTITUTION: The method for controlling fuel flux at a burner of an electric arc furnace comprises the steps of making out a table for flux control patterns by setting variation steps of wattage according to characteristics of molten steel to be produced in the electric arc furnace, and presetting LPG flux and oxygen ratio corresponding to the variation steps of the wattage(500); measuring wattage inputted into the electric arc furnace(510); selecting flux control patterns corresponding to the measured input wattage from the table of flux control patterns(515); calculating an actual value of LPG flux by detecting a pressure difference of LPG supplied into the burner(520); calculating a set value of oxygen flux according to change of the calculated actual value of LPG flux, and calculating an actual value of oxygen flux by detecting the pressure difference of oxygen supplied into the burner(527); and calculating target control values respectively by deducting the actual value from the LPG flux and the oxygen flux(530,535), and controlling an LPG flux valve and an oxygen flux valve by the target control values(540-570).
