PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for transacting electronic commerce using a mobile communication terminal are provided to safely transact electronic commerce by recognizing the balance using a purchaser's mobile communication terminal, by transmitting information on the balance, the purchaser's code and so on through the terminal, thereby approving the commerce. CONSTITUTION: A purchasers selects a desired product and transmits purchaser information to an electronic commerce unit using the purchaser's terminal(200). An operation unit stores the information in a storing unit(210). A transaction approval code is transmitted to the purchaser's terminal(220). The operation unit receives information for requesting prices of products from a seller(230). It is confirmed whether the information is compared with the information stored in the storing unit(240). Prices of products are paid to the seller(250). In case that the information isn't corresponded, the prices aren't paid(270).
