METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING HIGH STRENGTH AUSTENITIC STAINLESS STEEL PLATE USING THIN PLATE CASTING MACHINE

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a high strength austenitic stainless steel plate using a thin plate casting machine is provided to ensure a high strength steel plate more economically by appropriately controlling the content of titanium and vanadium and a cooling speed of a thin plate. CONSTITUTION: In the method for manufacturing an austenitic stainless steel plate by forming a thin austenitic stainless steel plate between two casting rolls, cooling and coiling the steel plate, and then cold rolling and heating the steel plate, the amount of titanium and vanadium contained in the austenitic stainless steel plate is adjusted to more than 0.5 percent by weight; and the cooling of the steel plate starts at a temperature of more than 950deg.C and finishes at a temperature of 350 to 450 deg.C so that its cooling speed is more than 50deg.C/sec.
