PURPOSE: A device for controlling an audio volume during a vehicle emergency siren is provided, which reduces the audio volume automatically during the vehicle emergency siren so that a driver hears the external emergency siren. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle equipped with an audio apparatus(1) comprising an electronic volume control device(3). The audio volume control device comprises a sound sensing sensor(5) installed in the external to sense a siren sound and a controller(7) controlling the electronic volume control device of the audio apparatus by receiving a signal of the sound sensing sensor. The controller comprises a preprocessor circuit(11) sampling the signal of the sound sensing sensor, a memory circuit(13) storing the siren sound of an emergency vehicle, a judgement circuit(15) comparing the sampled signal with the siren sound stored in the memory circuit, and a control circuit(17) controlling the electronic volume control device of the audio apparatus according to the judgement of the judgement circuit.
