PURPOSE: A one-way clutch is provided to assemble the one-way clutch efficiently by simplifying the structure, and to improve endurance by fixing a sprag assembly in an outer race firmly. CONSTITUTION: A one-way clutch is composed of an outer race(12) having an assembling groove(12c) spaced from an inner periphery(12b); a fixing member(24) inserted to the assembling groove; and a sprag assembly(16) supported by the fixing member. The one-way clutch is fixed in the inner periphery of an outer member, and a sprag(16b) is contacted to the outer periphery of an inner member. Rotation of the inner member is controlled with the sprag assembly. The sprag assembly is supported with the fixing member including a snap ring inserted to the assembling groove of the inner periphery of the outer race. The fixing member is installed and separated from the assembling groove in assembling and disassembling the one-way clutch. Endurance of the one-way clutch is improved with supporting the sprag assembly stably.
