发明名称 APPARATUS FOR HEATING SURFACE OF MOLTEN STEEL IN CONTINUOUS CASTING MOLD USING ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD
摘要 PURPOSE: An apparatus is provided to reduce defects of the corner part generated during solidification of the surface of molten steel and improve quality and productivity of products by uniformly heating the surface of molten steel of the single side part in a mold in continuous casting process so that the molten steel is slowly cooled. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for heating the surface of molten steel in a continuous casting mold using electromagnetic field is characterized in that an alternating current with a frequency of 50 to 500,000 Hz is impressed to the solenoid coil installed at the upper part of the surface of molten steel(1) at the side of the short side part(4) of the mold(2), wherein the mold(2) is consisted of a large side part(3), a short side part(4) and a solenoid coil heating the surface part of molten steel, the solenoid coil has a size so that the solenoid coil is installed at the upper part of the surface of molten steel of the side of the short side part(4) of the mold, and an electromagnetic field impressing unit consisting of the solenoid coil is installed at the upper part of the surface of molten steel(1) inside the mold so that solidification of the surface of molten steel is alleviated, and mold powder is well melted, thereby reducing various cracks and flaws due to rapid cooling of steel billet at the corner part of the mold(2).
