ELIMINATION METHOD OF NAPHTHALENE FROM COKE OVEN GAS

PURPOSE: Provided is an elimination method of naphthalene from coke oven gas(COG) by degradable absorbing oil with viscosity of 1.5 to 2.0 cP which is generated during the distillation process of crude light oil, by introducing the above degradable oil into the cooling stage of the hydrogen sulfide absorption tower. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises: a step of inputting the above degradable absorbing oil mainly composed of 4-naphthalene into the cooling stage of the hydrogen sulfide absorption tower; elimination step of naphthalene by contacting COG with the above degradable absorbing oil, holding the gas-liquid contact ratio of 1.2-1.4; and transferring the COG without naphthalene to the next process. The process is the second elimination step of naphthalene at the cooling stage of the hydrogen sulfide absorption tower after it is eliminated for the first time at the cooler by the differences of temperature with cooling water.
