APPARATUS FOR PROTECTING SENSOR USED IN HIGH DUST ENVIRONMENT

PURPOSE: An apparatus for protector sensor is provided to ensure stability and reliability for sensor by nearly completely protecting the sensor from a high dust environment, while reducing the frequency of maintenance and replacement of sensor. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for protecting a sensor(10) installed within a spray room(13), comprises a housing(21) surrounding the sensor in such a manner that a space for air flow along the surface of the sensor is formed; a connection pipe(22) communicated to the top of the housing and extended outside of the spray room; an air feeding unit for feeding air into the housing through the connection pipe; and a nozzle(23) arranged immediately beneath the lower end of the housing in the direction vertical to the housing, and which injects air, in such a manner that the vortex generated at the lower portion of the housing due to the air flowing along the interior of the housing, prevents dust from being introduced into the housing.
