<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coordinates input device which has high detection sensitivity with low energy consumption. SOLUTION: This coordinates input device is provided with a signal generating part for generating an acoustic signal, a movable signal transmitting part composed of exterior package surrounding at least the signal generating part, a plurality of receiving parts for receiving an acoustic wave emitted from the signal transmitting part and an operating part for calculating the phase difference among acoustic signals received by the receiving parts. The frequency of the acoustic wave generated by the signal generating part is >=1000/Mt, and the position of the signal transmitting part is detected from the phase difference calculated among the receiving parts.
