PURPOSE: Provided is a preparation method of amorphous titanium hydroxide gel with fine particle size by adding dispersant to the step of thermal hydrolysis of Ti-dispersed solution before hydrothermal reaction. Therefore, the resultant titanium oxide powder has fine particle size and good characteristics. CONSTITUTION: The preparation method of titanium hydroxide gel(Ti(OH)4) comprises the steps of: dispersing Ti-salt, such as TiOSO4 or TiCl4, into water or mixed solution of water and alcohol; adding 0.05-1.2g(/1L dispersing agent) of dispersant selected from the group consisting of hydroxypropyl cellulose, methyl cellulose and sodium carboxymethyl cellulose; thermal hydrolyzing the mixture; filtering and drying. The titanium oxide(TiO2) powder, being much fined particle size compared with conventional TiO2, is produced by dispersing the obtained gel, Ti(OH)4, into water and hydrothermal reacting at 100-250deg.C. |
