<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method in an overloaded condition of an inverter power generator, which enables the drive of an induction motor requesting a large drive current and realizes an adequate protection in the overload condition. SOLUTION: When the load current of the inverter, detected with a load current detector 12, is within the range of a first overload discriminating value or higher and a second overload discriminating value or less, and if an overload continuation time exceeds a first setting time, the supply of a drive signal to a switching circuit 5 is stopped to stop the operation of the inverter. If a load current exceeds a second overload discriminating value and the output voltage of the inverter is higher than a short-circuit discriminating value, and when the overload continuation time exceeds a second setting time preset depending on an output voltage of the inverter, operation of the inverter is stopped, and if the load current exceeds the second overload discriminating value and the output voltage of inverter is equal to the short-circuit discriminating value or smaller, the operation of the inverter is stopped immediately.</p> |
