PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To selectively reproduce music data liked by a user. SOLUTION: These device and method are realized by providing a reproducing part 7 to reproduce plural pieces of the music data recorded in media, an input part 2 to input a skip command to interrupt reproduction of the music data by the reproducing part 7 and to skip the reproduction to the one of the music data scheduled to be reproduced next, a control part 10 to perform control to interrupt the reproduction of the music data currently under reproduction according to the skip command inputted from an input part 2 and to reproduce the music data scheduled to be reproduced next and a storage medium 6 to store music data number information to specify the musical data the reproduction of which by the reproducing part 7 is interrupted according to the input of the skip command from the input part 2 by paring it with a TOC(Table Of Contents) information of the media.
