METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING OPTICAL DISK AND MASTER DISK FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an optical disk which is capable of reading format information during seeking between tracks and a master disk which permits the manufacture of this optical disk. SOLUTION: The timing and power of on and off of a laser beam for exposure are optimized. Rugged patterns which are synchronized with part or the whole of the rugged patterns of the format information formed in header land parts, are continuously linked in a straight line form in a diametral direction and have the waving of the straight lines of <=1/3 of the minimum rugged patterns are thereby formed in the boundaries of the headers.
