PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a female crimp-style terminal compact by preventing curving of the upper portions of sidewalls and enlargement of upper walls while securing the strength of a neck part and the functions of a plate spring, thereby smoothly inserting the female crimp-type terminal into a housing compartment and reducing the longitudinal length of the neck part. SOLUTION: The female crimp-type terminal includes a cylindrical shell 10; a plate spring 20 positioned within the shell and formed integrally with the front part of the shell; a neck part 30 formed approximately in the shape of U as seen from the longitudinal direction and formed integrally with the lower sections 12b and 13b of both sidewalls 12 and 13 at the rear end of the shell and with a bottom wall 11; and a barrel 40 formed approximately in the shape of U as seen from the longitudinal direction and formed integrally with the neck part while having a holding piece 42 that extends upwards beyond the neck part. The terminal has a cut 17 therein so that the sidewalls 12 and 13 are divided into upper sections 12a and 13a and the lower sections 12b and 13b from the rear end of the shell. |
