PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image interface circuit to compress an image for succeeding transmission through a wireless transmission channel. SOLUTION: The image interface circuit is provided with an image reception port, an image reception circuit (100) that receives an image with a compression signal format from the image reception port, an image decompression circuit (102) that decompresses the format, an image segmentation circuit (112) that segments the image into a text area or a non-text area, an OCR device (106) that recognizes text characters in the text area to generate character data corresponding to the recognized characters, an image encoder circuit (110) that applies compression encoding to the non-text area into image data by using other image signal format, a compression image transmission port connected to the wireless transmission channel and a signal combiner circuit (114) that combines the character data with the image data to generate a combined signal. |
