PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for transmitting and receiving contents associated information including meta information, a mobile unit and a base station are provided to add meta information to simply access an information provider providing detailed information for voice/sound contents information to additional information associated with contents and to provide it through a radio broadcast. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for transmitting and receiving contents associated information including meta information comprises a voice/sound contents providing part(11), a contents associated additional information providing part(12), and a combining/transmitting part(13). The voice/sound contents providing part(11) provides generic radio broadcast voice/sound information. The contents associated additional information providing part(12) provides contents associated additional information composed of meta information, meta information parameters and descriptive information. The combining/transmitting part(13) combines and transmits the voice/sound information of the voice/sound contents providing part(11) and the contents associated additional information of the contents associated additional information providing part(12).
