PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve translation precision by lightening the burden of judgment of the specialized field of a document to be translated and to obtain a high- precision translation result by performing adequate translation processing matching the specialized field of the original. SOLUTION: In specialized dictionaries 9A, 9B, 9C, and 9D, index words and equivalents are registered by specialized fields. In a field dictionary 52, index words and field information showing their specialized fields are related and registered. A translation part 4 decomposes the inputted original into words through morpheme analysis (steps S11, S12) and counts the appearance frequencies of the respective words by the specialized fields of the words (S132) by referring to the field dictionary 52 (S131). A translation dictionary connection part 10 specifies at least one of the specialized dictionaries (S14) according to the appearance frequencies. The translation part 4 translates the inputted original by referring to the specialized dictionary specified by the translation dictionary connection part 10 and outputs its translation (S18). |
