<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that a base station selecting signal required for a base station selecting system is missed partially or entirely when transmission of a mobile station under service is interrupted temporarily to damage the reliability of base station selection, that a shift may be generated between base stations under soft handover with regard to the update timing of a main base station at the receiving point of the mobile station due to transmission line delay, and that a downlink receiving signal may be missed because the base station selecting period is constant or an additional circuit for watching the update timing at all times may be required at the base station. SOLUTION: Each base station checks the missing amount of a base station selecting signal and if it exceeds a specified level (H-001), transmission power is not suppressed even at an essentially non-main base station. Each base station in a soft handover set updates the state of a main base station at a predetermined timing at all times so that the update timing of the main base station is synchronized at the mobile station.</p> |
