PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a band-pass filter the size of which is reduced while the filter secures a sufficient mechanical strength. SOLUTION: This band-pass filter has a dielectric block 2 that is substantially formed in a rectangular parallelepiped composed of a first portion belonging to an area from one cross section to another parallel cross section and second and third portions which are divided by the first portion, and metallized compositions formed on the surface of the block 2 to respectively form an interrupting waveguide 14 in the first portion and first and second resonators 15 and 16 in the second and third portions. The metallized compositions contain a capacitive electrode piece formed on the first surface of the dielectric block 2 which substantially intersects the cross sections at right angles.
