PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the light-emitting device of high light take-out efficiency for preventing the emitted light of an LED advancing from a light-emitting layer to a substrate side from being absorbed in the substrate and buffer layer of a band gap smaller than the one of the light-emitting layer. SOLUTION: Below the layer 30 of the band gap larger than the band gap of the light-emitting layer 2 between the light emitting layer 2 and an SiC substrate 4, a metal thin film 3 for reflecting the light from the light-emitting layer 2 is partially provided. Below the layer 30 and above the metal thin film 3, a clearance or a transparent insulation film 31 is provided.
