PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing controller and a printing control method for performing efficient scheduling. SOLUTION: The printing controller predicts the respective rasterizing processing time and printing processing time of a plurality of jobs and generates an optimum schedule on a plurality of jobs under prescribed criteria on the basis of the predicted rasterizing processing time and printing processing time of the jobs. A criterion for minimizing the total sum of waiting time in the printing device and a criterion for terminating the rasterizing processing and the printing processing of the respective jobs by designated time are used as the prescribed criteria.
