SECRET DATA PROCESSOR AND ITS ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect secret data with higher security in electronic components and a device using the components which encrypts the secret data, stores them in a storage device, decodes the secret data and uses them for decoding contents. SOLUTION: An EEPROM 200 for storing encrypted secret data is connected with an LSI 100. The LSI 100 has a signal processing part 107 to which encrypted contents are applied, a scramble/descramble part 102 for giving decoded secret data necessary for decoding the encrypted contents, a key data memory 104 which stores internal key data, and a control unit 105 which reads the encrypted secret data in an external memory, gives them to the scramble/ descramble part, decodes the encrypted secret data by using the internal key data, and obtains the decoded secret data.
