METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PREVENTING ARC DEFLECTION IN ARC WELDING

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for preventing arc deflection in arc welding are provided to prevent arc deflection by forming a welding torch in a direction parallel to arc or a strong magnetic field in an arc direction using a solenoid coil. CONSTITUTION: The method for preventing arc deflection in arc welding comprises the steps of forming a solenoid coil(2) so that the solenoid coil(2) forms a concentric circle with a welding torch(1); and magnetizing the solenoid coil(2) in a direction parallel to arc(5) by flowing current to the solenoid coil(2) so as to prevent arc deflection, wherein a strong magnetic field is formed in a welding torch direction during welding. The apparatus for preventing arc deflection in arc welding comprises a welding torch(1); a solenoid coil(2) forming a concentric circle with the welding torch(1) and encircling the surroundings of the welding torch; and a power supply part(4) connected to the solenoid coil(2) to flow an electric current to the solenoid coil(2).
