PURPOSE: An apparatus for automatically cutting front and rear rings of a wire rod coil is provided which cuts the wire rod coil as much as cut rings determined according to a material sensor regardless of shapes of the front and rear rings of the coil. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for automatically cutting front and rear rings of a wire rod coil comprises coil transfer conveyors; supports(13,13') on which both directional blades(9,9',10,10') are formed in two steps around a material sensor sensing coils transferred and a lower part of three step transfer rollers(7a), wherein the first step support(13) is separated into left and right in circle form, rails(13-Ra) are adhered to the upper part of the first step support(13) in both directions, a second step lower support(13') is formed in a circular shape penetrated to the supports(13,13'), and rails(13'-Ra) are adhered to the upper part of the second step lower support(13') in both directions; body parts(12,12') which is moved so that end points of both blades are contacted when the body parts(12,12') are moved side to side in the state that left and right blades(9,9') are coupled onto the upper support(13), and hydraulic cylinders(12A,12A') are connected to both sides of the support(13); a holding bar(14) in which a fixed ring and a fixed plate are connected to the support(13) between the hydraulic cylinders(12A,12A'); and body parts(15,15') which are moved side to side, and in which hydraulic cylinders(15A,15A') are connected to the side of the support, wherein the front ring is cut when lower left and right blades(10,10') are being closed by the hydraulic cylinders(12A,12A',15A,15A'), the total ring dropped and stacked on a crop box(21) is transfer controlled to a rear roller conveyor by chains(11,11'), and the rear ring(B) is equipped with a holding bar(14) which is fixed to prevent close actions of the upper left and right blades(9,9') and separation of left and right coils.
