PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method which can collect the utilization conditions of a plurality of contents, a data collecting terminal and a computer program. SOLUTION: The data collecting system comprises a content information receiving means (control means) 4 connected with a terminal which can utilize a plurality of contents (media channels) 76a-76f selectively and receiving information concerning a content selected by a terminal 70, and a data base 6 for storing received content information wherein the control means 4 alters the transmitting/receiving timing of the content information depending on the received content information and receives the content information according to the altered transmitting/receiving timing.
